They are hoping to find that special someone with exceptional talent who could romp to victory in this year’s competition.

As we enter the second stage of this nailbiting 2008 search for a star, the lucky few who received a magical three Yes’s from the judges will, each night this week, feature in a series of live semi-final shows.

Each programme will feature eight contestants who no doubt believe they’ve got the winning formula to merit the public vote.

But only two acts will make it through to the grand final on Saturday. Let battle commence.
