Tonight, new members of the makeover team, which includes a plastic surgeon, cosmetic dentist, make-up artist and two hairdressers, work to pull off a much-needed transformation for ex-Royal Navy career girl Amanda, now a mother-of-five.

The stresses of motherhood, plus a lifetime of smoking and compulsive tea-drinking, have left her with straggly hair, terrible teeth and a prematurely aged face.

However, the combined efforts of Nicky and her team of experts soon unveil a new woman (main picture).

Nicky also gets to grips with the nation’s fashions, from the art of accessorising and wearing bold colours, to looking at how we wear jeans and finding women who look fabulous at 50.
