HOUSEHOLD rubbish is being secretly collected and analysed in what are feared to be plans for pay-as-you-throw bin taxes.

Home owners discovered that their bins have been removed by council snoopers who claimed it is just a “fact-finding exercise” to see much food is thrown away.

But last night the £1,700 project was branded a “gross invasion of privacy”. It is thought it may be the first step towards charging residents who fail to meet Government recycling targets.

Residents only found out their rubbish had been taken away when the local council wrote to them.

Officials even substituted new bins so home owners would be unaware of the swap and not change their refuse habits.

This has been going on for donkey's years anyway, so what does it matter? Any information that is stored about me anywhere, is there for a reason, & I played my part in putting it there. Bin taxes, car taxes, income taxes whatever, its about time that the government stood up & said " you know what, people need to start taking responsibility, & looking at how their behavior affects other people, & the world around them, they need to wake up to the destruction they ignorantly leave behind them as they carelessly plod through life thinking they are something. im for it.

Though on the other hand... Why do people pay tax? second thoughts it wont work, people will just stop buying supermarket foods, there will be more unemployment, because people wont be able to afford to pay the pay as you throw taxes, just think of the rubbish in this consumerist society.

I read and hear on BBC Radio that our local councils are authorised to hack in to our E-mails. Is this true?, if so, what government department, ministry or person authorised then to do so?
Can any IT staff employed by local government do this without the express permission of the individuals thus targeted?
Under precisely what legislation (chapter and verse) is this allowed?
How long has this been going on?
Why?.

This government is totally sad and sick to the core and unfortunately it is rubbing off on Joe public, or is it the other way around.? Have the education policies post 1960 become so entrenched in our society that the majority of the public are brain-dead and they actually like to be controlled day and night and not have the responsibility for their own thoght and/or actions.
