TARA PARADES HER 'ADORABLE' NEW BOYFRIEND

Story Image

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and her tycoon

Thursday July 3,2008

SHE'S notoriously unlucky in love but has socialite Tara Palmer-Tomkinson now finally found her Prince Charming?

The 36-year-old It-girl-turned-TV presenter stepped out with a handsome new flame on her arm this week – and used the opportunity to introduce him to her parents.

“Yes, he’s my date,” she told us at the launch of her historian brother-in-law Simon Sebag Montefiore’s debut novel, Sashenka, adding proudly: “Isn’t he adorable?”

The man in question is fortysome-thing tycoon Michael Jacobsen  who said: “I am a lucky man.”

The pair looked snug together as they chatted to well-heeled chums including Kate Middleton’s sister Pippa, Tara’s sister Santa and even her parents Charles and Pattie, who are close friends of Prince Charles, at the event held at Asprey’s in London’s Mayfair.

Tara, who was treated for cocaine addiction at an Arizona clinic in 1999 but seemed on a natural high at the party, has had a somewhat chequered love life over the past few years.

Her property developer boyfriend Anton Bilton dumped her for her former best pal Lisa Barbuscia, whom he later married.

She then said she had her heart ripped in two when her two-year romance with “the one” – multi-millionaire and Matalan clothing heir Jamie Hargreaves – ended in 2005.

Other previous boyfriends include pop singer Robbie Williams, restaurateur Mogens Tholstrup and there was even a short-lived whirlwind engagement to Greg Martin, son of Beatles producer George, who was revealed to be a philanderer.

Since then she has become cynical, admitting that she sees herself as a “Miss Havisham” type, destined to die alone in a wedding dress. But who knows, perhaps she’ll be donning that white frock sooner than she thinks…
