THE prospect of British troops fighting in a Euro Army came a step closer yesterday as Foreign Secretary David Miliband threw his weight behind a French military blueprint.

He backed French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s scheme to beef up the European Union’s military structure.

His support means British soldiers could be handed to the EU and sent into action by EU generals.

Mr Miliband warned that without a Euro-force, the EU would always have to wait “impotently” for America to intervene in a crisis.

WE WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT AN EU SUPER ARMY.

He made Europe drive on the right. This is unnatural as most of the world's population are right handed. People always passed on the left as the sword or English quarter staff were held in the right hand thereby allowing us to p**** in safety. As a result, armies always marched to the left but that was changed with Napoleon because he was left handed and his armies marched on the right.

When traffic started to appear, it became custom to drive on the left but France had to do the opposite. Because of the American War of Independence, the Americans did whatever was different to us because the French were more sympathetic to an independent United States, so they drove on the right. The rest, is history.

Just because the Americans and mainland Europeans drive on the right, people think that is normal but although, I have never had the full statistics, there is a hell of a lot of nations that still drive correctly, on the left

This would be a dangerous precedent.

I believe NATO has served us well since WWII and the problems we experienced between 1914-18 and 1939-45 were caused by Europeans.

The USA has always stood firmly by our side through thick and thin and I would be extremely unhappy to give up our national defence force or to put our trust into anything European.

Remember Napoleon? He didn't like us either.

...it has been announced today that France has started a Mediterranean Union.. with Spain, Italy, Croatia, Albania, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Syria, Egypt, Libya and Algeria likely members!! are they all going to be included in the European Army?

I would like to know who Europe thinks is going to be the enemy. Of course the US goes strutting around the world, but why should we join them. Russia is still getting back on it's feet and China is too busy making money, so I ask again, who are we going to fight.
