Kelly’s pity for Peaches’ cry for help

KELLY Osbourne has spoken of her “pity” for the newly spliced celebrity brat Peaches Geldof.

The wild child daughter of Sharon and bat-munching Ozzy, who knows a thing or two about attention-seeking behaviour, has condemned the spontaneous marriage of Sir Bob Geldof’s 19-year-old daughter, who wed musician Maxwell Drummey in a Las Vegas ceremony.

“It’s a bit sad, to be honest,” said Kelly, 23, at the V Festival in Chelmsford, Essex. “It’s a great big cry for help and people need to stop talking about her and, you know, maybe all she needs is a hug.”

The outspoken singer and presenter also declared her support for Cheryl Cole, who has replaced her mum as a judge on ITV’s The X Factor.

“I’m the biggest Girls Aloud fan and that’s the only reason why I’d ever watch [The X Factor] again,” said Kelly, adding cheekily, “Dannii [Minogue] strikes me as the kind of woman who doesn’t like anyone who’s younger and prettier than her.” Ouch.

Also at the celeb-packed festival were Coleen McLoughlin, who flew in by helicopter; Lily Allen, in trainers and having fun with a male companion, pictured above; TV presenter Gail Porter and actress Martine McCutcheon.

It was a family affair for singer Sophie Ellis Bextor, who showed up in the Virgin Radio VIP area with husband Richard Jones from The Feeling and their four-year-old Sonny, who looked every inch the rock star in black sunglasses and special junior headphones.

Meanwhile, Welsh songstress Duffy, who wowed the crowds with gutsy performances on Saturday and Sunday, admitted backstage that she’s still waiting for crooner Tom Jones to get in touch about a collaboration: “I haven’t received the memo,” she giggled.

“I’m still waiting for a text off him.”
