Dame Helen: I have taken cocaine and been date raped
SHE MAY have risen to international stardom playing the Queen but Dame Helen Mirren reveals she has happily broken the law by using cocaine.
The outspoken Dame and Oscar winner for her royal role, has admitted she “loved” taking the Class A drug at parties.
The Prime Suspect actress also says in an interview she thinks it is fine for people to grow marijuana in their back garden.
The 63-year-old wants to legalise prostitution and revealed she was the victim of date-rape because she was too polite to say “no”.
The Hollywood actress, who dallied with drugs in her thirties, said: “I loved coke. I never did a lot, just a little bit at parties.
“But what ended it for me was when they caught Klaus Barbie, the Butcher of Lyon, in the early Eighties.
“He was hiding in South America and living off being a cocaine baron. I saw how my little sniff of cocaine at a party had an absolute direct route to this f****** horrible man in South America. And from that day I never touched cocaine again.
“Marijuana grown in the back garden is not the same, obviously.”
The star, a brothel madam in her new film, revealed she was a victim of date-rapists between 16 and 25.
She said: “It happened a couple of times after being locked in a room and made to have sex against my will. If a woman voluntarily ends up in a man’s bedroom, takes all her clothes off and engages in sexual activity she has the right to say “no” at the last second.”
Dame Helen says: “I’ve always had big tits and blonde hair. That can be a terrible disadvantage.

“You’re not allowed to be intelligent if you’re a woman with big tits and blonde hair.
“I might have a certain appeal but I am not beautiful.”
