Kirsten Dunst to cast love web again
BIG SCREEN star Kirsten Dunst has surprised film bosses by agreeing to reprise one of her best known roles: superhero Spiderman’s love interest Mary Jane Watson.
It was previously understood that Dunst, who also stars in new flick How To Lose Friends And Alienate People, had not wanted to be involved with the Spiderman franchise any longer, having already appeared in the three previous films alongside co-star Tobey Maguire between 2002 and 2007.
There had already been speculation over who might replace her.
Now, however, the 26-year-old actress, who previously dated British rocker Johnny Borrell, has let slip that she will appear when the movie is due to be released in 2011.
“I’m in,” insists a tight-lipped Dunst.
An industry source adds: “Kirsten’s decision has come as a pleasant surprise. Fans will be thrilled as she has a real
on-screen chemistry with Tobey.”
