DRAMA: THE TUDORS

As Anne Boleyn (Natalie Dormer) remains incarcerated in the Tower of London awaiting her death at the hands of the Executioner of Calais, she is given more bad news by Archbishop Cranmer, who reveals that her marriage to the King has been declared null and void and that her daughter Princess Elizabeth is no longer in line to the throne, clearing the way for a legitimate heir to come from what will be his third marriage to Jane Seymour.

When the King discovers that Boleyn’s decapitation has been delayed because of the late arrival of the executioner he is incandescent with rage and demands that they get someone else as “he wants her dead”.

Meanwhile, Henry’s new love, Lady Jane, accepts his marriage proposal.
