BERRA: Room for improvement

Monday October 6,2008

By Scott Burns

CHRISTOPHE BERRA has insisted the wheels haven’t come off at Hearts and they can get back on track with a derby win against Hibs.

The Jambos crashed to their consecutive defeat as they lost their first SPL match of the season at Tynecastle against Kilmarnock at the weekend.

The alarm bells are ringing but their captain does not believe they are in crisis and they are more than capable of bouncing back with victory at Easter Road.

Berra said: “Last week (against Dundee United) we didn’t perform the best but this week was a different performance.

“We have to learn from our mistakes.  We can’t keep saying we are unlucky.

“There is a lot of room for improvement and the manager knows that.

“We have to stand up and be men.  We have to take this defeat on the chin and learn from it.

“How many times have we shown our character over the last couple of seasons with everything that has gone on.

“I don’t think any of the boys have shied from it.  We will be up for the challenge.

“There is no better to get back on track than to go to Easter Road and get a victory.

“It will be very difficult. It always is there but we’ve had a few decent results over the last couple of seasons.”
