USA’s plum for Peaches

HALLELUJAH! Tiresome teen socialite Peaches Geldof looks like she’ll be staying put in her adopted home of New York for some time to come.

Already fetching up on the Big Apple party scene – she joined the genuinely starry likes of Brooke Shields (above), 43, at the opening of a Hugo Boss store this week – Saint Bob’s daughter has been rhapsodising about her new life.

“I am constantly surprised by this huge country. It’s like a never-ending novel with each page more exciting and bizarre than the last,” twitters Peaches, 19, who married American musician Max Drummey in August.

“Don’t get me wrong, I have always loved London, it’s a city where being unusual is accepted. I grew up there, walked its cobbled streets and frequented its infamous haunts.

“The skies are always grey and the weather is freezing but the place is alive and vibrant with culture. The decision to leave my homeland was difficult but I’m happy I made it.”

She adds in her debut column for the city’s Nylon magazine: “New York is where I finally feel at home. Driving over the Brooklyn Bridge at night in a yellow cab and gazing out over the tops of the skyscrapers, there’s no place I’d rather be.”

Don’t rush back!
