KURT SLAMS ACTORS WHO 'SUFFER' FOR THEIR ART

Story Image

Monday November 3,2008

HOLLYWOOD star Kurt Russell doesn’t think he’s a work of art.

The 57-year-old long-time partner of Goldie Hawn is fed up with actors who whine about how difficult their job is and says those who moan about the stresses and strains of the acting profession should quit now.

“To go on about acting as art is ridiculous,” huffs Kurt, who recently starred in Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof.

“You don’t have to be gifted just to hit a mark and a line. As far as I’m concerned, that’s 90 per cent of the job.”

He sums up his view of the “craft” by saying: “Anyone who finds acting difficult just shouldn’t be doing it.”
