Guy's split delights dad
GUY Ritchie’s father John is glad his son’s marriage to Madonna is over.
And he says Guy will not allow the singer to raise their extended family in America.
Film director Guy has been partying since the marital split last month – spending most nights at his pub in London’s Mayfair when he’s not shooting his new film about Sherlock Holmes.
“He has been in a very good mood,” says John, 78. “I wasn’t upset that they parted. I am very pleased for Guy that it is over.”
John also says Guy doesn’t want his children to live in America permanently.
He adds: “He is such a good, positive father, he won’t let that happen.”
Guy is keen for a divorce deal with Madonna that will see their son Rocco, eight, their adopted child David, three, and stepdaughter Lourdes, 12, remain in the UK.
