Amy and Mark still shaken by Bond row

Troubled Amy Winehouse has hit a new low after another major bust-up with friend Mark Ronson over the loss of their theme tune for the new Bond film.

The tempestuous duo recorded a demo track for 007 months ago but were unable to continue after Amy’s reportedly erratic behaviour.

The pair, pictured below, were eventually pipped to the post by White Stripes rocker Jack White and singer Alicia Keys with their duet Another Way To Die.

Now, as Quantum Of Solace is screened across the country, the full force of losing out on the honour has hit home.

According to a source, the tune that the pair had planned to send to the Bond producers was half finished before their initial row in the studio.

Hip producer Mark, 33, had been working on it for a whole month before the 25-year-old diva turned up looking dishevelled and in no state to record, and he sent her home.

Amy and Mark, who produced her Grammy-winning album Back To Black, have not collaborated together since but were last month rumoured to be patching things up to record a track for a tribute album to music legend Quincy Jones – a project that is now unlikely to be fruitful.

“All Mark needed was Amy’s voice to make their Bond dream come true so when the movie came out Amy called Mark and said, ‘Let’s do something bigger than Bond. It’s a shame we haven’t got our names up there’,” claims the source.

“Mark was furious – he’s still upset about the loss of Bond. The partnership is badly damaged.”

The beehived singer, whose well-documented drug problems have taken their toll on her health, was an early favourite to sing the Bond theme.

At the time of his recording, Mark said of the pair’s Bond effort: “We did work on it but we never finished it. I don’t think it will happen unless by some miracle it gets recorded and someone sings on it. I’m not sure Amy is ready to work on music yet.”
