BIANCA JAGGER IN JEWELLERY ROW

FURIOUS: Reinhard Ringler (Picture: www.cen.at)

Thursday November 20,2008

BIANCA Jagger is in the middle of a "bankruptcy" row over a lost ring she secretly collected from police.

The ring of Mick Jagger's ex-wife, which was worth £160,000, went missing at the Salzburg music festival.

After an £8,000 reward was issued, it turned up after being found by Austrian building magnate Reinhard Ringler.

But Ms Jagger has not paid a penny of the reward legally due the furious finder, reports the Austrian Times.

The row has led local media to question whether Bianca is secretly bankrupt or has misled police over the value of the ring.

Under the headline 'Is Bianca Jagger Bankrupt?' Austrian daily Osterreich revealed that she secretly reclaimed the ring before experts had a chance to get it independently valued.

This starts rumours that she can't pay because she doesn't have the money and is bankrupt.

The report said: "The valuation cannot take place - and at the same time this starts rumours that she can't pay because she doesn't have the money and is bankrupt - and also that the ring is not worth anything."

Mr Ringler has told Bianca's legal team that he now intends to sue her for the full £8,000 finder's fee.
