U.S. BOX OFFICE CELEBRATES FOUR CHRISTMASES

The film, starring Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn, carved up a staggering £31.1 million in five-day ticket sales, and an estimated £21.1 million over the weekend (28-30Nov08) to score an impressive debut.

Family film Bolt climbed a spot to two, while former box office number ones Twilight and Quantum of Solace slip to three and four respectively.

Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman's new epic, Australia, debuts at five with an estimated £9.8 million, while Jason Statham's Transporter 3 sequel enters the box office chart at seven and Harvey Milk biopic Milk debuts at 10.
