STREEP SHORTLISTED FOR TWO MOVIE AWARDS

The Oscar winner has been shortlisted in the Motion Picture - Drama category for her role in Doubt, and in the Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical category for her performance in Abba-themed show Mamma Mia!

Slumdog Millionaire, Frost/Nixon, and Milk are among contenders for the prestigious Best Drama Movie Award, while Tropic Thunder, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, and Happy-Go-Lucky make the shortlist for Best Comedy or Musical.

And British funnyman Ricky Gervais received a nod for his performance in Ghost Town - he has been nominated for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy in the International Press Academy event.

The awards are due to take place in Los Angeles on 14 December (08).
