Monday December 1,2008

The industrial estate used to film British comedian RICKY GERVAIS' hit TV comedy THE OFFICE has been destroyed after a massive explosion ripped through the area.

Firefighters were called to Slough Trading Estate in Berkshire, south England on Monday (01Dec08) morning to tackle the fire that had engulfed the buildings following the loud explosion.

The cause of the incident has yet to be determined but police do not consider it to be suspicious. No injuries had been reported as WENN went to press.

The original U.K. version of The Office was filmed at the estate between 1999 and 2003.
