WOMAN DIES AFTER GAS EXPLOSION

A regional government statement said the 60-year-old woman died at Barcelona's Vall d'Hebron hospital. She had burns on 85% of her body.

Twenty-two people, including seven children, remain in hospital. Thirteen are in critical condition.

The blast ripped through a three-story apartment building in the north-eastern town of Gava early on Wednesday, leaving gaping holes in the structure.
