Swayze, 56, who has been battling pancreatic cancer, stunned others on the set of drama The Beast.

He did his own action scenes and stunts for the TV show, in which he plays a tough Chicago FBI agent.

A set insider said: “Patrick was amazing. He had the energy to keep up with the fast pace. He was like Superman. He put in long hours and had a great, positive attitude. Everyone on the show just loves him. You wouldn’t think he was being treated for cancer.”

Patrick credits his battle against the disease with work and his devoted wife Lisa, 52.

He said: “We have been walking our dogs and enjoying some of Chicago’s restaurants while I was filming and staying in so I could rest up for work.

“I found myself riding home at the end of the day, sort of catching myself with a smile on my face.”
