WEAVER’S FOLLOWING A ROYAL EXAMPLE

Story Image

Friday December 5,2008

Sigourney Weaver has some interesting thoughts on how Hollywood can best cope with the economic crisis.

The Alien actress believes that following the example set by the Queen, movie royalty should be fishing elderly gowns and trinkets out of storage.

“Our behaviour is changing. Look at how we re-use and recycle,” muses the 59-year-old. “I want to see people at movie premieres wearing outfits they’ve had for 10 years.”

Perhaps helping the economy by unleashing the price of a few designer frocks from bulging celebrity bank accounts could be more helpful, Sigourney?
