The world's longest ever letter to Santa
IT'S his busiest time of year.
So Father Christmas must have breathed a heavy sigh when this came through his letterbox.
The world's longest ever Christmas list was written by more than 2,000 school children this year, according to the Austrian Times.
The youngsters - aged between eight and 14 from Romanian schools - composed the mammoth 384 metre-long letter and posted it to Santa's North Pole address.
But while most children request video games, bikes and toys for Christmas, the children asked Santa Claus for something a bit different this year.
Organisers said the most popular wish was to save the rainforest and the planet's oceans.
"There were a few worried parents wondering if they had have to deliver on the whole list but the children loved it," said one.
The previous record holders were from Rumford, USA, where 495 children wrote a 27-metre long letter.
