FESTIVAL CHIC

Kate Moss manages to look effortlessly chic at Glastonbury

Whether you are a seasoned festival-goer or a complete novice, make sure you dress to impress...

SINCE Kate Moss, pictured, and Sienna Miller first swanned around Glastonbury looking effortlessly fabulous in boho outfits a few years ago, festivals have become a wardrobe minefield.

Gone are the days when you could get away with a T-shirt and jeans.

Festivals, it appears, are fast becoming the new catwalks. But take a reality check. Unlike A-listers who can stay in plush motor homes, we mere mortals will be slumming it in a tent.

With this in mind the foolproof festival wardrobe should include pieces that combine fashion and function.

Should the weather stay fine, a pair of denim shorts is a must, teamed with cotton tunics or tops.

Layering is another festival favourite. Take the waistcoat and parka as examples. Not only will they look stylish together, they will also keep you cosy at night.

A skull print scarf can disguise an inevitable bad hair day and provide an extra layer if you're feeling chilly.

For the feet, wellies are still in vogue.

But if you want to add some fashion flair, Vivienne Westwood pirate boots will do the trick.
