FERGIE'S £30M DOUBLE SWOOP
RONALDO MARK II: Sporting Lisbon's Portuguese winger Nani is said to resemble Christiano Ronaldo
By Richard Tanner
MANCHESTER United last night pulled off a sensational £30million swoop for two of Europe's hottest stars.
They splashed £13m on Sporting Lisbon winger Nani, then agreed a £17m deal with Porto for attacking midfielder Anderson to leave their rivals trailing.
Nani, 20, is regarded as the next Christiano Ronaldo while 19-year-old Anderson is tipped to take over from Ronaldinho as the next great Brazilian playmaker.
Sir Alex Ferguson ensured United will now have one of the most mouth-watering attacking line-ups in Europe next season when his two new boys join forces with double player of the year Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney.
After the £17m capture of Owen Hargreaves from Bayern Munich, it takes United's spending to nearly £50m in a fortnight and shows their determination to hold on to the Premiership title and go all out for another European Cup.

FC Porto's Anderson has shown great promise

The new signings are seen as replacements for Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes, whose United careers could now be drawing to a close.
GLAZERS HAVE PROVEN ALL DETRACTORS WRONG.

You hit it on the head… MUSA jumped ship and should be ashamed! The Glazers have proven all detractors wrong.
Abramovich is losing interest, or so it seems, as he is tightening the purse strings. The league, however, will be as competitive as ever, even more so this coming season.
To think, not long ago, so many of us believed SAF was losing his touch.

Perhaps this will silence the MUSA gripping about the lack of committment and spending power of the Glaziers. They have sound business acumen and have done a great job with Tampa. All we need now is for Abramovich to lose interest and throw his Terrys out of the cot.
