Henry Cecil is looking for an eighth success

Thursday May 31,2007

By Chris Goulding

HENRY CECIL will run Passage Of Time and Light Shift in his quest to win the Vodafone Oaks for an eighth time at Epsom tomorrow.

Cecil, one of the most popular trainers in the country, will receive a tremendous reception if he pulls it off.

Ed Dunlop, who took the prize with Ouija Board three years ago, could spoil the party with Dalvina.

The unbeaten filly has yet to be extended in her two races.

Aidan O’Brien, with three Oaks triumphs to his name, will have four runners – All My Loving, Cherry Hinton, Nell Gwyn and Peeping Fawn.

Measured Tempo represents the Godolphin team.

Sir Michael Stoute seeks a third success in the race with Dance Of Light while 1,000 Guineas third Simply Perfect represents Jeremy Noseda.

The line-up is completed by the Barry Hills-trained Sues Surprise, Darrfonah from Clive Brittain’s stable and Ralph Beckett’s Lingfield winner Kayah.
