Warnock's warning to Arsenal

STEPHEN WARNOCK has warned Arsenal that Blackburn are ready to take advantage of their tired legs tomorrow.

WARNOCK Advantage WARNOCK: Advantage

While Rovers were running Fulham into the ground to secure three points on Wednesday, the Gunners were forced into extra-time and penalties against Roma.

Fulham manager Roy Hodgson admitted his team could not cope with Blackburn’s energy levels and Warnock claims they are ready to produce another all-action display at the Emirates.

He said: “Arsenal have got a couple of injuries and they had a tough game against Roma, so anything can happen. They will be tired after extra-time in Rome, but they are a class team and they are very fit boys.

“We have got to take the spirit we showed against Fulham on for the rest of the season. It was a massive result, one that will push us forward and it has certainly given us a lot of confidence ahead of Arsenal.”

The victory at Craven Cottage lifted Blackburn out of the relegation zone and up to 15th Warnock added: “Nobody wants a relegation on their CV.

“The table looks a hell of a lot different and the players can get so much confidence out of it. But we need to back it up with another good result like we did in the Everton game [0-0 draw].

“Everton are a top-six side but we matched them and showed we are good enough to be in the position they are in and fighting for what they are fighting for.”
