SALES of brain-boosting omega-3 fish oil supplements have leapt as parents seek to help children in the run-up to exams.

Experts say the oil aids concentration and helps increase knowledge retention. Haliborange has seen a 91 per cent rise in sales in the last month.

The increase comes after research showed parents are more nervous of exam results than youngsters.

Nearly three-quarters say the biggest concern is that children reach their potential.

But children don’t share the same views, with 40 per cent more concerned about following latest trends, the survey by Haliborange omega-3’s panel of mothers revealed.

Research found 63 per cent of parents are so concerned about children’s revision they plan changes to the family routine to improve it.

FISH OIL SEEMS TO HAVE DONE ME A POWER OF GOOD SINCE VISITING MY GP!.. BEFORE TAKING FISH OIL MY MEMORY WAS SO BAD I MISSED THE FIRST TWO APPOINTMENTS, BUT I GOT THERE IN THE END AND SAT FOR AGES IN THE WAITING ROOM.. I'D FAILED TO RESPOND WHEN THEY CALLED MY NAME OUT!
NOTICING EVERYONE ELSE HAD GONE HOME THE RECEPTIONIST REALIZING THERE WAS A PROBLEM ACTUALLY LED ME INTO THE CONSULTING ROOM.
THE DOCTOR WHO WAS JUST ABOUT TO LEAVE LOOKED AT ME IN SURPRISE AND ASKED "SO HOW CAN I HELP YOU?" AND WITH WITH A GREAT DEAL OF EFFORT I MANAGED TO EXPLAIN ""IT'S MY MEMORY DOCTOR, I JUST CAN'T SEEM TO REMEMBER ANYTHING THESE DAYS, SOMETIMES I EVEN FORGET MY OWN NAME!""
LOOKING A BIT PUZZLED THE DOCTOR ASKED "THAT'S VERY STRANGE, SO HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN LIKE THAT?" TO WHICH I SOMEWHAT HESITANTLY REPLIED "LIKE WHAT DOCTOR?"
BUT THANK GOODNESS, FISH OIL SEEMS TO HAVE DONE THE TRICK, NOW I'M ... NOW I.... ERR..... "WHAT WAS I SAYING?"
