WILL BROWN BE A BETTER PM THAN BLAIR?
Gordon Brown
GORDON Brown yesterday used his surprise trip to Iraq to distance himself from the “spinning” of secret intelligence under Tony Blair.
The Chancellor flew to Baghdad to meet British troops and discuss security amid speculation he could withdraw most units within 12 months.
And in an attempt to break with the past, the Prime Minister-in-waiting pledged to overhaul Government rules to ensure there is no repeat of the infamous Iraq “dodgy dossier”.
Referring to the way Mr Blair made the case for war, Mr Brown said: “We have lessons to be learned for the future.”
Opposition MPs pounced on his words as they debated Iraq in the Commons last night.
Liberal Democrat defence spokesman Nick Harvey said: “It’s a bit rich for Gordon Brown to suddenly admit intelligence was misused in the run-up to the Iraq war given that he was in the Government that took the decision.”
Shadow Foreign Secretary William Hague said: “It is an admission that intelligence wasn’t properly presented.”
Mr Brown’s remarks also added to concern among Mr Blair’s allies. They are worried that the Chancellor, who has promised “a new Government with new priorities,” is repeatedly rubbishing the Prime Minister.
What do YOU think? Will Brown be a better Prime Minister than Blair?
BROWNA BETTER PM

He wont be better, which would'nt be hard, but he will be the same. The same old crap Blair spouted is still being spouted by him. I think every EU gov have the same death wish, asthey are all flooding their countries with immigrants, in fact I read on the net the other day some Dutch minister had told the people to be good to muslims because when the Dutch were in the minority muslims would be good to them. How's that, suicidal EU. That was in a Dutch paper, God help us all.

This depends on his honesty doesnt it. He is already covering his tracks by stating the obvious, that there were flaws in the war with Iraq
The labour party have always been know to run down the oppostition rather that praise what they have done or are doing. Brown is doing it already , but with his own party.
To dish out blame, or flaws in a decision prior to his becoming PM is just a way of sucking up to the public IMO , but I guess we must give him a sporting chance and see what he delivers....lets hope its honesty !!!

If they dug up the remains of Clement Attlee, he would be a better PM than Blair.

your'e havin a laff int yer.
This Laurel and Hardy duo have reduced this country to rubble.
We are all expected to work, pay exhorbitant taxes and smile when our tax is spent on interlopers, who have paid nothing into the British economy but receive expensive HIV treatment.
Then.the media tells us that people who have paid in all their lives have to lose the sight in one eye before they will get any drugs to help them.
Anyone, anywhere, can board a plane, walk into a British hospital and be given vastly expensive drugs.
If you are a fully paid up Brit who requires £2.50 worth of alzheimers drugs per day, forget it we're not interested in you,we're out to save the world so bugger off old geezer.
I wouldn't pay either of these two in washers.

BROWN AND THE ART OF SUBTLE SPIN!
13.06.07, 8:09pm
Brown is a manipulating, dishonest, scheming man, and he is very dangerous!
In this case, the unfortunate recipients will be the Country in general.
He promises to do away with spin, and is insinuating that many of the Blair disasters were not his doing? Already he is lying and using spin to deceive the electorate.
How can a man, who has been the second most powerful person in this government for the last 10 years, claim that he was not aware or had nothing to do with government decisions at home or abroad?
He is showing more contempt for the intelligence of the British population than Blair, and that takes some beating!
