THE Rolling Stones shined tonight as they turned up for the UK premiere of their new film.

Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Mick Jagger and Ronnie Wood laughed and joked as they attended the screening of Martin Scorsese's 'Shine A Light' at Leicester Square Odeon.

Jagger's girlfriend L'Wren Scott looked stunning in a bright blue dress as she joined him on the carpet.

Other celebrities like Liam Gallagher and Nicole Appleton joined the music legends on the red carpet.

The 'rockumentary' charts the band's 46-year-history, interlinked with footage from a 2006 concert in New York.

Goodfellas filmmaker Scorsese said he had made the film because the Stones had provided the soundtrack to his life.

He said: “The Stones’ music dealt with aspects of a life that I was growing up in and trying to make sense of.

“Their music was tougher and had an edge; beautiful and honest and brutal at times and powerful. It’s always stayed with me,” he has said.

The New York world premiere was on Sunday.
