MAFS UK star Bob Voysey believes April Banbury's honeymoon kisser was future 'intruder'

MAFS UK 2022 is in full swing and already there has been plenty of controversial moments to get people talking.

Married at First Sight: Pjay Finch tells Jess he's a stripper

returned last month for its seventh outing, introducing 16 new singletons hoping to find the love of their lives through the experiment. The series has already seen the first four couples go on their honeymoons, including dress designer April Banbury and her financial advisor husband George Roberts. While their wedding seemed to mostly go off without a hitch, they couldn't say the same for their honeymoon.

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from MAFS UK.

April, 32, and George, 40, were jetted off to Jamaica for their luxurious and romantic honeymoon where they continued to get to know one another.

Sadly, April started to feel too much pressure and so withdrew from him for a day but that appeared to be resolved later that evening.

The following morning though, George spoke to the camera, stating that April had cheated on him as she was "intimate" with another person, shocking viewers.

When he confronted her, April clarified that she had kissed a fellow female hotel guest as part of a game of dare.

She apologised for her actions and it looked as if they had moved on and were ready to work on their relationship.

Since then, Express.co.uk has spoken to MAFS UK 2021 alumni Bob Voysey who is now hosting the show's reaction podcast Recapped at First Sight alongside radio host Kat Shoob.

They get together every morning after the drama unfolded the night before to discuss anything and everything in the latest MAFS UK.

When asked about his opinion on what went down on April and George's honeymoon, Bob theorised that he thought her mystery kisser was a future contestant on the show.

Bob explained: "I've got a weird feeling because I know there's more couples this year, couples that come in later and I'm wondering if it was another couple from the experiment.

"I don't know if that is the case but maybe - I just don't understand in another way how it could have gone from a couple of random people they met on their honeymoon, to getting into a hot tub and getting cosy so quickly.

"I was chatting to a friend of mine and she was the one who said it to me and I thought, 'Oh, that's a good thought'.

"I personally don't understand why that [situation] happened so there must be more to it, because that's what's getting me thinking about other possibilities of how that happened.

"I can't imagine it being a random couple that they bumped into on a holiday."

"Intruder" couples that are introduced halfway through MAFS is a twist which comes from the Australian version of the dating show.

This year will be the first time the UK series is going to adopt this concept, throwing a spanner in the works for the eight couples fans already know.

Expert Mel Schilling said: "They just start to get into their comfort zone and feel like they can cruise a little bit and then bam, two new couples come in and really shake things up."

So could it be that these couples have already made themselves known to April and George on their honeymoon?

MAFS UK continues this evening as the second batch of couples are sent around the world.

In the teaser, Lara says that she is "terrified" of where her relationship is going with Richie, while Zoe questions if she and Jenna could work on the outside.

Of course, it's still very early days so only time will tell if any, or all of them, will make it to the all-important commitment ceremony.
