Coronation Street couple caught in awkward exchange with Tim and Sally Metcalfe
Coronation Street couple Aggie Bailey and Ed Bailey haven't had any major storylines recently and have been dipping in and out of their neighbours' lives.

Things could be set to change for the Coronation Street couple as they receive a visit from some old friends and get caught in an awkward exchange.
Ed Bailey (played by Trevor Michael Georges) and Aggie Bailey (Lorna Laidlaw) moved to Weatherfield in 2019 after downsizing from their previous home in Alderley Edge.
Their move came due to financial issues caused by Ed's gambling addiction, leaving the family struggling for a while.
In upcoming scenes, Ed and Aggie are taken aback to bump into Patrick and Yvette, their old neighbours whilst out for dinner.
Aggie quietly fumes when Yvette insists they join them for the catch-up, despite wanting a nice evening with her husband.

After their dinner, Ed explained to Dee-Dee Bailey (Shannique Sterling-Brown) that Aggie doesn't want to invite their old neighbours for dinner over the fear she’ll look down her nose when she sees where they live now.
Still being close friends, Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) suggests Aggie could borrow their house for the afternoon and pass it off as her own.
How will Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) feel that Joe has offered up their house to Aggie, a woman she previously accused him of having an affair with?
However, moving past her concerns and being a good neighbour, Aggie sets about cooking dinner at No.4 as Sally paints on a smile, sensing that it’s going to be a disaster.

As Yvette and Patrick walked in and begin to compliment "their" home, Tim appears from upstairs wearing Sally’s pink dressing gown, bewildering the pair.
Will Yvette get the wrong idea about Aggie and Ed and think they live with Tim and Sally?
Actress Lorna Laidlaw recently spoke out about Tim and Aggie's friendship and told Metro.co.uk: "I’m really adamant, these two people should never have an affair.
"It’s alright for a man and a woman to be mates. The panic about them is they’re worried about what other people are going to think.
"It’s very rare on Corrie you see a man and a woman who sit down and have beers together, give advice to each other, with no other thing other than friendship."
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
