Emmerdale fans distracted by awkward blunder as Marlon Dingle has breakdown

Emmerdale fans were left distracted during tonight's episode of the ITV soap after claiming Rhona Goskirk (played by Zoe Henry), Paddy Dingle (Dominic Brunt) and Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson) time travelled to help save Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock).

During Tuesday night's episode, Marlon decided that he was going to go for a drive around the village to try and get comfortable with driving again.

Discussing his plan with Rhona, he said: "I need to get on with this, there is too much faffing around with arrangements."

Uncomfortable, Rhona commented: "Well my mums in the house if you want her to go with you. Or I could go, yeah I am due a break!"

However, Marlon was determined to get driving and teased: "Yeah because husbands and wives driving together is always a massive success.

"I'm not going to Cornwall it is just a couple of circuits around the village, it will do the trick and warm me up."

As he began to drive off, he forgot to put the car in gear, but after a little tip from his wife, he sped away and let out a little cheer. 

However, his journey was cut short when he was stopped by some traffic lights and wasn't able to move the car again, sending him into a panic attack as the cars behind were honking at him to move.

He called Rhona who was in the Woolpack and quickly ran to Mary and Paddy to tell them the news: "We need to go, that was Marlon he is stuck and having a meltdown."

As they ran out of the pub, the next scene showed the three arriving in a field where they found Marlon distressed and panicking.

Rhona asked: "What happened?" to which Marlon stressed: "I can't drive, it is as simple as that and I am never doing it again.

"I don't even have a best foot, I have a rubbish foot and one slightly less rubbish foot, I haven't got the bottle."

Fans were left confused as to how they managed to get to the field so quickly, with some claiming they teleported

Taking to Twitter, user @BallumsHouse exclaimed: "Did they use the f***ing DeLorean Time Machine to get to Marlon?! #Emmerdale."

@Matt528chap noted: "Did Paddy, Rhona and Mary use the Tardis to get to Marlon?"

@MattZeeMiller expressed: "Omg in a blink of an eye they arrive to rescue Marlon, the secret superheroes of the village?? To the rescue zoom so fast like the flash."
