Loose Women panellists express horror at Katie Piper's 'gross' home confession

On today's edition of Loose Women, Katie Piper admitted an unusual house rule that left fellow panellists Judi Love and Charlene White reeling in horror.

Loose Women star Katie Piper left her fellow panellists in shock when she revealed a rather bizarre house rule. The panel were discussing home confessions, after it was revealed that model Abbey Clancy enforced a house rule that left her husband furious.

The 38-year-old apparently doesn't allow guests to use the front door, as it would cause mess in the hallway. Her extreme lengths were enforced as she recently put down new flooring and wanted to keep it "pristine".

This sparked a debate on Loose Women, with Katie Piper leading the conversation about what she does when she gets home from work and even jokingly calling herself a "scumbag".

She said: "I get home and sit on the bed and start talking to him [her husband Richie] and he says 'Don't sit on the bed after you've been on the tube!'" to which Charlene interrupted her and said: "Woah - you wear your outdoor clothes on your bed?"

Katie insisted that she does have "comfies" that she changes into later. Charlene said: "No, no no. You can't sit on the tube with all its germs and then sit with those same trousers on your bed clothes."

Katie shrugged and replied: "Why not?" to which she added that she takes her shoes off. Judi was in total agreement with Charlene and was equally horrified with Katie's confession.

The debate prompted many people to react online, with some viewers disagreeing with Judi and Charlene. One fan said: "@loosewomen 'Outdoor clothes are not for indoors...' Is Charlene White a serious germophobe? #loosewomen."

A second chimed in: "Can’t wear “outdoor” clothes indoors but can wear bare feet on a filthy carpet? It makes no sense #loosewomen." A third said: "Where does Charlene leave her contaminated clothes, in the bedroom? #loosewomen."

However, many agreed with Charlene and do the same ritual as her. One viewer commented: "Agree with changing footwear & clothes, especially after using the Tube & buses #loosewomen."

A second chimed in: "I think every Caribbean household had that rule - the best was never touched or used unless special occasions/guests came to the house #LooseWomen." A third commented: "You'd almost need to have a decontamination room at the front door. #LooseWomen."

Loose Women airs on ITV during weekdays at 12:30pm.
