Death in Paradise fans 'work out' future of Neville Parker - and he's not being replaced
Death in Paradise fans were left reeling after Neville Parker, played by Ralf Little, announced he was leaving Saint Marie.
Death in Paradise: Neville says he is leaving Saint Marie
Death in Paradise fans don't believe Neville Parker (played by Ralf Little) is leaving the BBC series despite him announcing to his colleagues he wanted to go travelling. Last weekend, Neville told Naomi Thomas (Shantol Jackson) that he wanted to find love - and that he wasn't going to find it in Saint Marie.
While some fans have come up with theories about who could replace Ralf as the lead detective, others are certain he won't be going anywhere. In Death in Paradise's latest Instagram post, the show teased what is in store for Neville and his future.
After sharing a snap from this Sunday's episode showing Neville holding a blue balloon in front of Naomi, they wrote: "It's just a balloon, guys... nothing to worry about! Or is there?"
Fans rushed to the comment section to share their thoughts with many claiming Ralf said he was returning to series 14. One wrote: "First of all Ralf said last year that he is still coming back for season 14 and I think Florence will stop Neville from boarding the plane."
Another echoed: "The actors signed for another season." A third aired their concern, commenting: "I am worried about this."
Ralf's future on the show has been a hot topic of conversation among viewers, and they even discussed it on a Facebook fan page.
One fan wrote: "I don't think Neville is leaving, Ralf hasn't made any announcement on social media. I think his storyline is waiting for Florence to appear."
Another went on: "I am sure Ralf has said in the past that he is definitely doing season 14."
"I am sure I heard this too," a third agreed.

Someone else said: "He's signed up for another series so I have read somewhere."
Ralf Little has yet to confirm or deny whether he is leaving the show, but in a previous Instagram Q&A, he did discuss who could replace him.
"I don't know," Ralf replied when quizzed on who could fill his shoes as lead detective.
"I have no idea, I'm not gonna swerve answering the question. I don't know. I don't know which direction they're gonna go in.
"I have honestly no idea and they haven't told me, maybe they had no idea yet.
"But I like the rest of you are going to be just sitting and asking, 'Who's next?' Who knows? No idea. But we'll see what happens."
Death in Paradise airs on Sunday at 9pm on BBC One.
