Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard's This Morning replacements confirmed
This Morning hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard have announced they will be taking a break from the ITV show just weeks after they made their debut.
Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard will be replaced on This Morning for the next two weeks as the hosts take a break for Easter. The duo, who just started fronting the show this month, are stepping out for a holiday. Cat told viewers on Thursday's episode that she and Ben would be "going on holiday".
Fans had already been chatting about it online. Someone wrote: "Ben and Cat will be on for like two weeks then will go off for Easter for about three weeks....ridiculous". Another person said: "They should've started after Easter and the studio itself given a makeover".
It's normal for hosts to take time off during school holidays, just like Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield used to do. A spokesperson for ITV confirmed to Express.co.uk: "Ben and Cat will be off for the Easter break and from Monday Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary will front This Morning during this time until Ben and Cat return on Monday 15th April."
At the end of Thursday's show, Cat and Ben said Josie Gibson and Dermot O'Leary would host Friday's show. They didn't say who would cover for them next week though.
Ben wrapped up with: "The Loose Women [ladies] are next on ITV1," and joked, "Charlene, save us."

He also teased: "And who will end up with egg on their face? Josie and Dermot go head to head."
Cat and Ben aren't the only presenters taking a much-needed break as Susanna Reid will also be away from Good Morning Britain for two weeks.
At the end of Thursday's show, the ITV host said: "That brings us to the end of Good Morning Britain, back tomorrow from 6. "I'm off for Easter, please don't panic, will be back in a couple of weeks!
"Richard Madeley simply replied: "Lucky you."

Since Ben and Cat took over from Holly and Phillip they have received mixed opinions from viewers at home.
And while some fans love Ben and Cat as the permanent presenters, others have been less than impressed.
However, the critics didn't bring Ben down as he soon responded on Instagram, telling his followers what a great first week he had.
The presenter wrote: "Just been looking through the many great pics from @kenmckayphoto from this weeks @thismorning @catdeeley and I have done a lot of laughing and of course had some delicious food! I’m now fasting over the weekend to make room for more next week!! Thank you for all your lovely messages."
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
