The Dallas Cowboys are the most valuable sports team in the world thanks in part to its incredible AT&T Stadium - which is set to host Jake Paul’s anticipated boxing showdown against Mike Tyson this summer. AT&T Stadium will fit 80,000 fans excited to see ‘Iron’ Mike return to the ring.

Earlier this month, Netflix and Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) announced the 29th July contest. Paul, who recently defeated Ryan Bourland with a dominant KO, has already fought a whole host of big names including UFC stars Nate Diaz, Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva, and Ben Askren but has been criticized for failing to get in the ring with boxing naturals.

But Paul is now set to fight iconic boxing star Tyson - who became the youngest heavyweight champion in history aged 20. The 57-year-old has not fought since hosting an exhibition with Roy Jones Jr. in 2020, a spectacle that drew huge pay-per-view numbers as the American returned to action for the first time since 2005.

The fight will go down at AT&T Stadium, which is situated in Arlington, Texas, and opened in 2009 for £1 billion - but the Cowboys rake in revenue from gamedays as well as other events. AT&T Stadium, referred to by many as both ‘Jerry World’ and ‘The Death Star’, has also been used for numerous music concerts, college football contests, NCAA Tournament basketball games, USMNT soccer matches, boxing contests, and even WWE’s annual extravaganza WrestleMania on two occasions. In 2026, AT&T Stadium will host multiple FIFA World Cup matches.

At the time of its unveiling, the distinctive central display board held the world record for largest high-definition video screen and the stadium’s retractable dome stands as the fourth-largest dome in the world. Weighing approximately 600 tonnes, the Mitsubishi-made LED screens stretch 72 feet high by 160 feet wide for a total viewing area of 11,393 square feet – equivalent to over 3,200 52-inch flat-screen TVs.

AT&T Stadium is also one of the largest stadiums across the NFL; it set the league’s attendance record in a 33-31 loss to the New York Giants back in 2009. The stadium also holds the record for the highest-attended basketball game in history after hosting the 2010 NBA All-Star Game.

This is because AT&T Stadium comfortably seats 80,000 guests with expanded capacities that allow for more than 100,000 people to attend certain events. Located behind each end zone are six elevated platforms that can be retrofitted with extra seats to accommodate more guests with Party Pass tickets, while club seating and luxury suites are located on the upper levels.

AT&T Stadium is also a premier music and entertainment venue. Performers such as Paul McCartney and Taylor Swift have graced the stage before massive crowds over the years and the Paul-Tyson clash could truly break the mould for boxing.

Following the announcement of the fight, the 27-year-old Paul took to Instagram to write: “It's time to put Iron Mike to sleep. It’s crazy to think that in my second pro fight, I went viral for knocking out Nate Robinson on Mike Tyson’s undercard.

“Now, less than four years later, I’m stepping up to face Tyson myself to see if I have what it takes to beat one of boxing’s most notorious fighters and biggest icons. My sights are set on becoming a world champion, and now I have a chance to prove myself against the greatest heavyweight champion ever, the baddest man on the planet and the most dangerous boxer of all time.

“This will be the fight of a lifetime.”

Paul, who boasts a 9-1 record (6 KOs), will face Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs) on 20th July at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
