It is a huge bonus for Jurgen Klopp to have a fit and firing Daniel Sturridge
Sturridge, however, bagged a late equaliser to rescue a 1-1 draw for the title chasing heavyweights.
Cascarino says the 29-year-old’s upturn in form has come at exactly the right time.
He told The Times: “Their performance against Chelsea was probably the worst I've seen from Liverpool's front three.
“Now, that is a compliment to them because they weren't that bad but they were off the boil.

“Sadio Mane struggled, Roberto Firmino did more defending than attacking and whatever Mo Salah tried just didn't come off.
“They have been so good for so long so the odd quiet game is to be expected.
“So it is a huge bonus for Jurgen Klopp to have a fit and firing Daniel Sturridge available off the bench.
“His goal on Saturday showed the skill we know he has and his scissor kick in the Carabao Cup showed his fitness and agility.

Liverpool lock horns with Napoli in the Champions League tonight.
Speaking ahead of the clash, Georginio Wijnaldum has revealed one thing that surprised him about Sturridge.
"I don't know what he did in his pre-season, but when he came back he was really fit,” Wijnaldum said.
“Better than the years before. He's showed that he's really important for us, not only for his goals but also the way he's playing. He's really in good shape."

Sturridge is in serious contention to start the match with Salah performing at nowhere near the levels he hit last season.
The Dutch midfielder says Liverpool must be wary of the Italians.
"They have a really good team. They have a lot of good players we have to be aware of. It's going to be a difficult game,” he added.
"Every team has its weaknesses. It's not good to tell them in a press conference. We will try to use them to win this game. Play for a draw? We always play games to win. Tomorrow, we play the game to win it."
