And Fletcher claims getting a point against Liverpool quietens the doubters after those two early defeats.
“I think it’s massive, even though it’s only a draw, obviously coming from behind,” he said on Sky Sports.
“But on the back of the Chelsea and Man City games where they lost and people were saying ‘some old Arsenal’.
“Obviously it was early in the season but they’ve been on a winning run since then and look like they’ve improved.

“So I think it keeps the unbeaten run going and I think it was a positive performance against a very good Liverpool side.”
Emery has clearly instructed his players to play out from the back in his first few months as head coach.

“I think they look a lot more organised.
“I think Arsenal were always free-flowing and open but I think there is a little bit more structure about them now, obviously he wants them to play out from the back.
“There was a time where Arsenal got away from that, even though we talk about Arsenal as this nice footballing team, they got away from playing from the goalkeeper and they went direct and long and played from there.
“So I think there is a new style and they seem to be improving and I’ve been very impressed with them.”
Arsenal are back in Europa League action on Thursday when they host Sporting Lisbon at the Emirates (8pm).
