Chelsea: Sarri ‘I want Higuain to stay next season’
Chelsea star Higuain toiled as the Blues secured a point against Manchester United on a testing afternoon at Old Trafford.
The Argentina international has managed to score just four times since his arrival from Juventus in January and, in the biggest game of the season, produced one of his most insipid displays to date.
The Chelsea star appeared unable to stay onside and was fortunate to still be on the pitch by the end of the match.
And United legend Paul Scholes has now hit out at the veteran.
"I think the centre-forward [position] is a problem,” he said.
"Higuain was poor today, they almost played with ten men today.
"I thought Giroud, at least in the last 20 minutes, would have been given a chance.
"What they’ll do if Hazard goes I’m not too sure, that’s obviously going to be a big problem whatever team he’s out of is going to suffer.
"I enjoy watching them, I think they’ve got some good footballers, but have they got enough to challenge for the league? I think they are two or three players short on that."
