Rangers welcome Aberdeen at Ibrox later in the day hoping to have the chance to bridge the deficit, but they will have to do so without Joe Aribo.
The former Charlton midfielder required stitches after a clash during the League Cup victory over Livingston on Wednesday, with Steven Gerrard updating fans ahead of the weekend.

"The doctor will decide in the coming days when he will be back.
"He will definitely miss the game at the weekend and potentially the next few after this.
