Temporary manager Ljungberg oversaw the club’s most recent league fixture against Norwich City.
Arsenal left Carrow Road with a point, despite going behind twice against the Canaries, in a thrilling 2-2 draw.
But, Ljungberg has been criticised by fans by naming a starting XI similar that they’d expect Emery to name.
The decision to leave record signing Nicolas Pepe on the bench also raised eyebrows, after the Ivory Coast international also fell out of favour with the former manager.
