Arsenal: Partey was Arteta's 'preferred choice' says Cross
Arsenal take on Manchester City this weekend as the Premier League returns from the international break. The Gunners have had a number of players sidelined in recent weeks, but Mikel Arteta is set to welcome a number of players back to his side this weekend.
Scotland left-back Tierney was forced to self-isolate for 14 days last week after international teammate Stuart Armstrong tested positive for coronavirus.
Despite testing negative three times, Tierney has been told by the Scottish Government that he has to follow the normal guidelines, ruling him out of the game against City.
The 23-year-old could also miss the Europa League clash next Thursday, but should be back to face Leicester next Sunday.

Sokratis
Greek centre-back Sokratis is yet to play for Arsenal this season after being lined with moves to Napoli and Paris Saint-German.
However, he is thought to be fit and has remained at the club, so could be in contention to make the match day squad on Sunday.
Pablo Mari
Mari has been missing with an injury to his left ankle since damaging the ligaments in the game against City back on June 17.
The Spanish centre-back is back in light training, but is a major doubt for this weekend, and will need to be eased back in.

Aubameyang was forced to withdraw from international duty after picking up a knock in the 2-1 win over Sheffield United.
Gabon manager Patrice Neveu said of his exclusion: "Aubameyang suffers from a small sprained ankle, contracted on Sunday, during the Premier League match against Sheffield.
"The Arsenal doctor sent me a certificate indicating his unavailability. He is in care for a week."
He is expected to be back to full fitness in time for Sunday’s game though, and has been seen training.
