Harry Kane will reportedly sit out of the Tottenham vs Manchester City clash on the opening weekend of the new Premier League season - regardless of which club he is playing for. Kane is currently away following his excursions at Euro 2020, where his England side lost to Italy in the final. The striker will be working on his fitness when Spurs are set to host defending champions City on August 15.

City are in the market for a striker following the departure of the club's all-time top goalscorer Sergio Aguero.
Kane is City's priority, with Erling Haaland seemingly harder to get out of Borussia Dortmund.
Reports earlier this week claimed Levy had performed a U-turn and would grant Kane an exit at a fee of £160m.
However, The Athletic's David Ornstein says Levy is still not thinking of selling his talismanic striker.

Ornstein told Sky Sports News: "I don’t think there is a U-turn in Daniel Levy’s mind.
"If Manchester City get to the level he would expect, which we thought to be around £150m – this report says £160m – then there is potentially a conversation to be had.
“But I’m not sure Manchester City are prepared to go to that level and so I can’t really talk about a U-turn in the mind of Daniel Levy just yet.
“Clearly Harry Kane maybe pushing to leave and there are surely a lot of conversations going on behind the scenes – but I don’t think this one is going to get resolved quickly.
“If it does happen I think it will be at the very end of the transfer window.”
