Man Utd: What could tempt Haaland to Old Trafford?
Manchester United’s board think their chances of signing Erling Haaland haven’t been hindered by the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, reports claim. The Norway international is the club’s top transfer target for next summer’s window. And despite other clubs being keen, the Red Devils are hopeful they can win the race for the player’s signature.

United were once ready to dance to the super-agent’s tune, signing clients such as Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in 2016.
But Raiola has regularly criticised the club and that makes any move to Old Trafford problematic.
Speaking earlier this year, meanwhile, Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness urged United to sign Haaland.
“If they could get either Erling Haaland or Harry Kane, they would become real contenders,” he said before Cristiano Ronaldo returned to the club.
“If you pushed me, I’d go for Kane, who turns 28 this summer, because he’s a proven performer in the Premier League and still has several years left at his peak.

“We’ve seen Kai Havertz and Timo Werner do well in Germany, then come to Chelsea and find life more difficult in England.
“Will Haaland be like that? I don’t think so, because he’s more powerful and aggressive than they are, but he didn’t score in the two games against City and it’s a possibility.
“Would he be open to moving to Old Trafford? Maybe not, maybe he grew up disliking them because of what happened to his dad, Alf-Inge, who was seriously injured playing against them.”
