Tottenham 'certainly' interested in signing Juventus star Paulo Dybala on one condition

TOTTENHAM could move for Juventus forward Paulo Dybala in the summer transfer window.

Transfer window: The top deals

Tottenham could attempt to sign Paulo Dybala in the summer transfer window if the striker does not sign a new contract with Juventus, according to reports. Dybala’s current Juve contract is set to expire on July 1 and several European clubs are keeping an eye on his situation, with the possibility of a free transfer on the cards.

Spurs signed two players from Juventus in the January transfer window, with Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur arriving on deadline day.

The club’s sporting director Fabio Paratici has close ties with the Turin club, having spent 11 years working for Juve before joining Spurs last year.

Dybala is one of a number of players in Europe’s top five leagues who are keeping their options open by refusing to pen a new contract.

Tottenham have lost their last three Premier League games and it is clear that manager Antonio Conte will be hoping for significant reinforcements in the summer.

football.london reports that Dybala is one of the free agents Paratici could target, alongside AC Milan’s Franck Kessie and Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard.

Dybala could still extend his stay with Juve, but if he doesn’t, Spurs will be one of many clubs taking a look at a player who has 112 goals and 48 assists in 280 appearances for the Italian giants.

The 28-year-old forward has contributed 12 goals and six assists in 26 games for Max Allegri’s side this season.

His recent form of four goals and two assists in the past eight games will encourage potential suitors that the Argentina international is back near his best.

According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, Barcelona and Inter Milan are closely monitoring the situation of Dybala.

Meanwhile, 90min recently reported that the Premier League’s big six and Paris Saint-Germain were contacted in January about his availability.

Juventus will hold a meeting with Dybala and his representatives at the end of February to discuss the renewal of his contract.

Dybala has been with Juve since a 2015 transfer from Palermo and has helped the club win five Serie A titles and four Coppa Italia trophies.

Spurs are also reportedly keeping an eye on Liverpool’s Divock Origi, while Conte’s former players at Inter Milan, Ivan Perisic and Marcelo Brozovic are also out of contract in the summer.

Tottenham will go into the summer with uncertainty hanging over Harry Kane, who pushed hard for a transfer to Manchester City at the start of the season.

Kane is under contract with Spurs until June 2024, but has previously expressed his desire to leave the north London club in order to compete for silverware.
