have reportedly struck an agreement with Club Brugge to sign Antonio Nusa, who has recently been linked with a potential move to . Nusa is thought to have been admired by the north Londoners for a while after turning plenty of heads with his impressive performances in Belgium.

Tottenham were recently said to have over a move for the winger, who was reportedly targeted by Chelsea in the summer. However, it seems as though Brentford may have beaten Spurs to his signature after making a huge breakthrough ahead of next week's deadline.

The Bees have reached an agreement with Brugge to sign Nusa in exchange for a transfer fee of more than £25.6million, according to Fabrizio Romano. It is said that Nusa has also given the green light to the move, with the formalities of the deal set to be thrashed out in the coming days.

Nusa is expected to remain at Brugge until the end of the campaign, at which point he will link up with his new Brentford team-mates. He recently said that he was not overly concerned about money as the deciding factor in any potential move, with the 18-year-old prioritising his football development over anything else.

"I try not to think about it so much," said Nusa earlier this season. "I can’t focus on that, you know. I don’t think it’s good for me. We are talking about very big clubs and that’s where you dream of being in the future.

"I try not to think about money at all. There’s a lot of money in football, so that’s not what’s on my mind. It’s where I can develop best and become as good as possible."

The news of Brentford's agreement will come as a major blow to Tottenham, who were reportedly hoping to land Nusa for themselves. They were said to have entered negotiations last week but are now set to miss out on his signature, with Brentford firmly in the driving seat.

Spurs have already welcomed two new faces this month, with Radu Dragusin joining permanently and Timo Werner arriving on loan from RB Leipzig. Ange Postecoglou was recently quizzed on Tottenham's business and refused to rule out the possibility of making further signings, although it seems clear that Nusa is unlikely to be among them.

"As for what happens with the rest of it going forward, as I said last time, we’re always alert and doing work and if we can improve the squad we’ll look to do that," said Postecoglou. "If there are potentially any outgoings, we’re ready for that depending on what happens."
