The outspoken wife of Thiago Silva has called for Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino to be sacked following the embarrassing hammering at home to Wolves. The Blues were hung out to dry by their visitors from the Midlands, with Wolves firing four goals at Stamford Bridge. As the result got steadily worse, Belle Silva took to X, formerly Twitter, to write: "It’s time to change. If you wait any longer it will be too late."

It's not the first time the Brazilian icon's wife has got involved in football issues, having previously been outspoken on numerous controversial issues in the recent past. Belle Silva had previously publically slammed former Chelsea boss Graham Potter, and also criticised ex-striker Timo Werner on social media.

The latest outburst appears to have been well received by a wide selection of the Chelsea fan base, with supporters growing disillusioned with the notable downturn in form.

Prior to the 4-2 Wolves defeat, Chelsea had entered the match fresh off the back of a 4-1 loss to rivals Liverpool on Wednesday.

Sunday's defeat means Chelsea, who have spent over the £1billion under new owner Todd Boehly, now sit in 11th place in the Premier League on 31 points.

Pochettino's men are 20 points adrift of the summit, and 15 points away from the Champions League qualification places as things stand.

Chelsea had opened the scoring against Wolves when a defence-splitting pass from £115m record signing Moises Caicedo found Cole Palmer for a sublime opener.

Things however soon took a turn for the worst, with Caicedo going from hero to villain and losing the ball carelessly in midfield, before failing to track back against Matheus Cunha who finished with aplomb.

Cunha would go on to slot home a hat-trick of goals, while an own-goal from Axel Disasi capped off Chelsea's misery and sealed the 4-2 drubbing.

Thiago Silva himself happened to get on the score sheet for the Blues, though his 86th-minute effort will hardly offer any form of consolation.

On previous occasions when Belle Silva has spoken out against managers, things usually tend to end in one way only.

Not long after publicly liking a tweet which referred to former boss Potter as a 'deadbeat coach', the Englishman was clearing his desk at Stamford Bridge and leaving the club.

On another occasion, Silva's wife once complained that not enough photos of her husband were present around Stamford Bridge following the club's unexpected 2020 Champions League final heroics.

She wrote in a now deleted post on social media: "Today I went to Stamford Bridge and I noticed that the photos changed around the stadium.

"But I don't see a photo of Thiago Silva anywhere. Why Chelsea?"

Chelsea return to action on Monday February 12th, with a visit to Crystal Palace. A daunting clash against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City then follows just five days later.
