Arsenal have been presented with a golden opportunity to end their long-term pursuit of Pedro Neto. The Portuguese winger has been a standout player yet again for Wolves this season, but is reportedly set to be sold in order to comply with FFP regulations.
Neto has two goals and eight assists to his name in 15 top-flight appearances this season. And having joined the club from Braga in 2019, the winger is now perceived to be fulfilling his potential having been plagued by a string of injuries since arriving in England.
And according to The Sun, the club are already planning to cash in ahead of the 2024/25 campaign. Neto’s current deal runs until 2027, meaning the Midlands club could command a full fee without the concern of him instead leaving on a free in the near future.

The Gunners have long been linked with the international, who endured heartbreak in December 2022 when he was forced to miss the World Cup with injury. The winger is reportedly 'appreciated' by the Arsenal hierarchy, including Edu.
How much the London club are willing to pay however, could well depend on their transfer activity elsewhere. Despite being linked to a host of players last month, Arsenal did not make a signing after spending over £200million in the summer.
They are also expected to move for Brentford striker Ivan Toney, with Thomas Frank conceding this month a sale was likely. But the Bees have previously indicated they want a near three-figure fee for the 27-year-old, which could scupper a deal given Arsenal too are wary of FFP regulations.

O’Neill has previously insisted Neto wasn’t pushing for a move away, and was settled at Molineux. “He's incredibly happy at Wolves," he told Sky Sports. "He's enjoying his football, he's rediscovered some fantastic form.
"He'd had a tough couple of years with injury and form, and he's performing at his best. So he's incredibly settled, happy at the club, and we're going to try and help him achieve some big things while he's here."
