are working on agreeing fresh loan moves for and next season, according to reports. Greenwood has spent much of the current campaign at Getafe while Sancho joined Borussia Dortmund in January after falling out with Erik ten Hag.

Neither deal has an option to make the moves permanent, meaning both players will be returning to Old Trafford at the end of the campaign. However, it seems they will not be part of United's plans for next season, with HITC reporting the Red Devils are prepared to sanction fresh loan deals.

Greenwood was loaned to Getafe after charges of attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour and assault occasioning actual bodily harm were dropped last February. United went on to conduct their own internal investigation, after which they decided to ship him out in response to backlash from fans, women's support groups and members of staff.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe recently suggested that United would reconsider their stance on Greenwood at the end of the season, but it is claimed that a return is thought to be highly unlikely. Sancho, meanwhile, returned to Borussia Dortmund on a temporary basis after refusing to apologise to Ten Hag following an internal row.

It is said that United have already held talks with Dortmund to discuss the possibility of sending Sancho back to Germany next season. Another loan deal is thought to be the most likely option but a permanent sale could be arranged the following year if everything goes to plan.

United are reportedly willing to sell Sancho but would only do so for a reasonable price, increasing the likelihood of a second loan exit in the summer. He is currently tied down to the Red Devils until 2026 and is unlikely to sign a new contract given the circumstances of his departure earlier this season.

Greenwood's deal at United is due to expire in 2025, meaning he is about to enter the final 12 months of his existing agreement. However, there is an option for United to trigger a one-year extension if a sale cannot be negotiated over the coming months, giving them more time to find a buyer.

A number of clubs are said to be weighing up moves for Greenwood, with Inter Milan and Juventus thought to be among the interested parties. However, the forward is said to be 'very settled' in Spain and would prefer to stay in the country, even ahead of a potential return to United.
