Liverpool star Mohamed Salah stormed straight down the tunnel at the London Stadium after his side had been held to a 2-2 draw by West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday. The result means Liverpool’s title hopes are almost certainly up in smoke once and for all following a torrid run of form, which has seen them pick up just five points from their last five league encounters.
Salah has been Liverpool’s talisman year after year since joining the club from Roma in the summer of 2017. But his name was glaringly absent from the Reds’ starting team to face the Hammers in the capital.
The 31-year-old was then seen arguing with Klopp at the side of the pitch as he waited to enter the action as a substitute with just over 10 minutes remaining. And after the final whistle sounded in east London, the Egypt international decided to head straight off the pitch instead of embracing his opponents and acknowledging the Reds fans.

And when asked about the title race, the German replied: “I'm not in the mood to talk about that to be honest or look at that at all. We had to win here - we knew that - and we didn't. And now we have a little bit more time between now and the next game. We try to get the boys ready again and we will go again.”
Liverpool climbed to the top of the Premier League table at the end of March as Klopp attempted to take top-flight silverware to Anfield for the second time of his tenure. But Liverpool’s title challenge started to derail earlier this month as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Manchester United before suffering a shock 1-0 home defeat against Crystal Palace.

After getting the better of Fulham, the north west giants were dispatched 2-0 by Everton in the Merseyside derby on Wednesday night and ended their month by dropping another two points in their latest encounter.
Klopp is heading for the Anfield exit this summer after nearly nine years at the club. And with Salah having just one year remaining on his Reds contract, the player could well be set to follow his manager through the door when the campaign comes to an end.
